What a ridiculous article. Complaining about the fact that England didn't win the token award, which unfortunately went to NZ most likely because no NZ players featured anywhere else.

I don't see a place for this award..and to call it a travesty that it went to NZ (due to Fleming's exchange with Smith earlier in the year) almost seems as though Mr.Miller is eating sour grapes.

Whilst I agree that the article is a touch sour, I'm not so sure that New Zealand really deserve the award either - by the same token, there are very few appealing candidates.

I'd like to see the criteria for this award..I just don't see the point of it anyway.
I also agree...what what i've seen & heard, NZ surely are not the most well behaved team on the cricket-field in terms of sledging etc.

But I get the feeling NZ were given this award because no NZ players featured anywhere else..especially in the ODI XI.

Yeh exactly, especially showing quite good cricket at times against the better sides

Zimbabwe!?

The only disciplinary blemish I can recall from their entire history was Flower and James Foster a few years back.. They are play the sport in the best spirit.. Shame their administrators dont

If sledging is an issue looked at when choosing the award over a year then it's probably best not to have it at all...........unless it's an opportunity for the Cudgen Under 12's to step up and be seen on an international stage.

I don't think it's as bad a problem as you make it out to be..

Ive never seen a Mugabwean do a lot of sledging, Aus are rapidly cleaning up their act, WI arent bad bar Best who is diabolical...

I don't think it's as bad as it's made out to be in some quarters on here either actually. I was attempting (obviously fairly poorly! haha) in my post to say that if you're prone to nitpicking as far as sledging goes then there's no team that would be considered worthy.

I presume you're referring to NZ?
No, no, the ICC Test Team Of The Year or whatever it was called.
Officialising what IMO should never be officialised.
