Would you not agree that Flintoff would currently get in to the England team as a batter or a bowler(ankle permitting) alone? The same can not be said of Kallis
thats true...Flintoff could probably get into most teams around the world on the strength of either batting or bowling (going by current form)...if South Africa chose Kallis for just his bowling, one would have to question how good the South African bowling line up really was

Flintoff obviously. If you count Jones as an allrounder he is also classy, but the keeping sometimes leaves a little to be desired.
For little, read lot!

not really....kallis is the best all-rounder in the world now by far....

Depends on whether you want an all-rounder to score a fair number of runs AND take wickets or score a lot of runs and take few wickets.

Personally I'd say an all rounder needs to be successful with bat AND ball.

flintoff is the best in the world, but once he finds his feet again, it will be kallis again

shoaib malik is very very good, in australia, although not shown YET, hogg can be the best, but atm, it would have to be ...LEHMANN...of course, there's gilly

and the indians, sachin

Abdur Razzaq was an allrounder, Now a days he is just a pinch hitter who connects once in 10-15 matches. Right now Freddie Flintoff is the best allrounder.
Pinch hitters dont have the average like Razzaq and they dont have 1.30 wickets per match with a good SR .... And I know that India has the best produce of cricketers of all kind in the world ... I admitt . So apart from India can any one else dare to discuss some thing about this poor ordinary world and the others apart from "India"???? This will be quite helpfull for the promotion of cricket in other parts of the world . Plzz let other countrymen discuss about their B class cricketers.
And pinch hitters can hit may be a couple of boundries in an over of Mcgrath but Apart from Razzaq no one has ever hit 5 well calculated rolling boundries in the same over of Mcgrath ............

Don't forget that NZ have Oram & Cairns..although Cairns is arguably at the end of the road.

Sri Lanka won the asia cup, that is why Jaysuriya got player of the tournament award.Otherwise Shoaib Malik was the highest run scorer and number 4th on the most wickets taken in Asia cup

Hmm I agree with Kallis and Flintoff's ranking . But I am seriously doubtful about Malik . I guess Razzaq is better . Jayasuriya is also questionable..

For India, yep, Ajit Agarkar

Sachin Tendulkar's bowling has improved immensly, Virender Sehwag is useful too.
Im not even going to count Sanjay Bangar.

Ramesh Powar has some talent

India's best all-rounder is ofcourse Sachin Tendulkar. Bowling is pretty useful, also an excellent out-fielder and a very safe catcher..
Dravid would be next, due to his keeping responsibilities. Even though his keeping isn't upto the standard, his overall skills are extremely important for team balance..

It's all-rounder of YOUR current national team, not the world..
In the World, without doubt he is best. Pollock comes close..

That is a silly way of looking at things. Gary Sobers would not have made the West Indies side for his bowling, but no one is questioning his right to be deemed the best allrounder of his time. It should be the same with Kallis who is clearly the best allrounder in the world by far.
