Kaif should be dropped from the Indian Team.

Series-by-series averages - with batting positions borne in mind, for obvious reasons.
Year-by-year averages hide the amount of cricket played. In Ramprakash's case, it makes it look like 50:50 (or 2:2) success:failure, when in fact it's 7:2.

Because there is no obvious difference - being both against New Zealand and both on seaming pitches isn't sufficient, because there is no reason for top-class players automatically to fail.
Batting out of position is, there is. Very few players have forged successful careers batting out of position.

Mark Ramprakash, Jamie Troughton and Paul Collingwood are as good, though not significantly better.

Kaif is a great player, but as previously said, hes not a number 7.

They need to pick someone who can bat at 7, and Badani, Dinesh Kathick and Romesh Power could easily do this.

And I picked these three players so I wouldnt get blasted with Kaif's feilding ability. Badani and Power can also contribute with their bowling, and Kathick would contribute with his keeping.
