oh yeah, i like Brent (Billy) Bowden
oh yeah, i like Brent (Billy) Bowden
well, wat can i say. I'm perfect!
No Billy Birmingham is the 12th man - a funny bugger He does sendups of the channel 9 commentary team.
The one commentator i CANNOT STAND is that stupid kiwi idiot who did channel 9 commentary for the Aus vs NZ "tist metch" One more stupid comment in a kiwi accent from him and i would throw a brick through the television!
On the topic of Tony Greig...
"Well hes making a but of roum on the orfside, turning into a marfellous partnership(with emphasis on the a)"

I actually liked the kiwi he was doing the AUS vs NZ matches this summer. Benaud and Holding are good.
My all star commentary team would go a bit like this.
Harsha Bhogle (great commentator but made some comments about the Australians a couple of weeks ago which were not called for)
Ian Smith (Smithy is always a pleasure to listen to)
Geoffrey Boycott (the harshest critic of them all - plus i do a great vocal impression)
Bill Lawry (someone for everyone to argue with)
Brian Waddle (very impressive during the Aus vs NZ series on the radio)
Navjot Sidhu (the worst metaphors that have ever come from my television - gimme a dollar everytime i hear "he's opened him up like a can of beans")
Navjot Sidhu has an obsession with opening cans of beans.
Ian Smith is a complete idiot! I couldnt stand him!
One more stupid comment in a kiwi accent and I would throw a brick at the television! !
Get 12th Man the final dig CD
Its a ****ing crack up.
Bill Lawrie and AJ Greig are crack ups and Richie is at his normal best.
Even guest performances from Hansie Cronje and Ray Warren.
i add Jeremy Coney
at least Ian Smith has some humour. He tells it like it is , my fav qoute is 'World champions , they dont look like world champions now !'
8D 8D I like Geoff Boycs! :cheesy: :cheesy:
He always says what he thinks and he doesn't give them soppy sympathy. If they play a bad shot, he lets 'em know it!
Navjot Singh Sidhu .
Wish if Duke Nukem was also commenting .

I like wasting homo sapiens' time - like the way I wasted yours just now.

Richie For me 8D
Bhogle and Boycs...Srirams think alike
RVD = Ram Van Dam!!!
Richie for me. Usually offers the most insightful commentary.
Another is David Gower who is funny and very intelligent with what he says.
I love guys like Geoff Boycott because he doesn't mince words and is pretty harsh on most players, though he CAN go over the top and 'roobish' players a little too much. Having said that, he can go the other way and praise a player more than anyone.
Strangely enough (especially for those who have seen him BAT!) he praises really attacking play! So yeah, I like Boycs a lot. Also, his commentary comes from the perspective of someone who is analysing a player or situation critically like a coach would, rather than someone who tried to dress his opinions up for the camera and 'tries' to be intelligent. You never hear him talk about how beautiful the ground looks or how wonderful it is to see the myriad of pigeon species in the ground today (yes I'm looking at YOU Bill and Tony!). He focusses on the game and offers real technical knowledge. Good to see!
Harsha Bgle is another good'un and his bias towards India isn't quite as bad as someone like Sunny Gavaskar.
Jim Maxwell is pretty good too, though I get annoyed when he' commenting on a match in Adelaide. Even as someone who's an Adelaidian, I get sick of him for the millionth time saying "Well, it's a lovely day here at the GORRRRRgeous Adelaide Oval. Isn't it a magnificent playing arena?". Yeah, we heard ya the first time there, Jim.
