Things couldn't possibly get worse than this... er, knock on wood...

Out of curiosity, what's the most injury/illness/fitness bitten test or ODI squad in cricketing history? Have many teams outdone NZ's feat?

Erm, not conclusive but i'd say that any teams visiting the West Indies during the 1980's had their injury problems. Seem to remember Ian Botham saying that you were lucky if only 2 or 3 people came away from the West Indies with broken bones.

perhaps not as serious was england's last ashes squad.....
we had thorpe out due to a mental illness
gough was never fit and yet made the tour, like bond
jones tore his ligament in the first test in that horrible fielding incident
caddick was out for part of that series with back problems?
crawley missed part of that series as well(missed the last 4 tests)
flintoff was injured for the entire series...
chris silverwood our replacement bowler got injured and only bowled 4 overs in the entire series
and if i remember correctly tudor got hit on the head by b.lee and missed most of that series too
Tendulkar = the most overated player EVER!!
Beckham = the most overated footballer EVER!!

But missing Tudor wasn't a big disappointment!

Giles missed a large amount of the tour having bowled well in the first test as well, I believe.

Didn't Harmison break something of his (or Blackwell's) in the Nets?

Snape's hand/finger? Or was it Giles' arm?

seems hard to believe that someone who scored 69* and got run out for 0 in the first test would have been kept out of the side

Can't be. There were more fight in Ipswich when they got rolled 9-0 by Manure than in Alex Tudor..

Yeah but what if he actually was always injured all the time... The only person who can tell that is him..

How come guys like Richard Johnson , Gough etc. who have been injured so much arent labelled as "fakers"?
