**** Official **** Australia in South Africa 2020

Unbelievable amount of short and wide crap bowled by Steyn, Rabada and Ngidi. Australia about 40 runs above par at the moment.

Another T20 hattrick.

Never thought that Agar would ever have one...but here we are.
Australia always had too many runs, but they've bowled superbly here, and they've got the right bowling mix. How South Africa are going into the WC without 8 overs of genuine spin is beyond me. Their quicks being awful in limited overs cricket isn't new and should be bowling less overs as possible.

Amazing to see South African spectators turn to sheer depression while watching a T20 match.

Plebeians.

Smith quietly climbing the ladder to LO supremacy one feels. The career stats may never get there, especially in ODIs but he’ll consistently be up there with the best for some time to come imo.

Yeah, it's not the largest sample size but since Jan 2016 Smith has averaged 41 in T20 with a strike rate of 132, he's obviously vastly improved his LO game.

Is that T20 or T20Is? Didn’t expect it to be that good either way.
His career stats in both T20Is and ODIs are misleading because of the beginning of his career as a bowler. I'd wager if you only count from 2013-14-ish onwards, ie. when he came back into the team as a batsman, then his white-ball stats would be about as good as anyone playing the game right now who isn't Kohli

Well a few more than Kohli for sure. Rohit, QdK, Azam come to mind. But yes, agree.

I mean he was this good and probably better before the 2015 WC as well. Just phoned it in a fair bit between the WCs, together with mental exhaustion a lot of the time esp in those junk-time-in-February ODI series that have been the norm in Aus summers for a while now.
