Lyon's gone missing in the latter half of games too, hasn't he? Can't pull instances otoh, but I vaguely remember him not pulling his weight when conditions have suited him. Anyway, I hope both he and Ashwin get a full series when we tour there. Should put the debate to rest.

Yeah he had issues with his physical stamina early in his career, would visibly tire and put less on the ball as the match wore on.

Well that's an interesting idea, and one I will take under advisement.

So anyway, as I was saying, the idea that Ashwin is the best choice spinner in all imaginable conditions really is difficult to understand. Still not got my head around how anyone could come to that conclusion, frankly.
Is it though? There isn't a Warne or a Murali around. You could make an argument. Not necessarily one I would agree with, but there's definitely an argument to be made.
