Really pleased to see Watling doubling up. Heavily under rated player, not after this knock.

Santner, took his chances with both hands this test. Very gutsy knock and looks like he's here to stay. Who knows he may just have started to peak. At least 10 more years he's got at this level.

Black caps are definitely on a huge rise. Every player is justifying their selection consistently of late.

Still we have very good bench strength as well... We're definitely ok the rise in all formats. Never been more pleased.

Burns is going to get out a lot of times in Tests getting opened up by the right hander coming around the wicket imo. Hard hands, bat comes down at an angle.

What works for him is he seems to be leaving exceptionally well.

There was a reasonable amount of swing with the new ball there, don't think we quite made them play enough, and gave away a few too many soft singles by overcorrecting. That said, the English openers have left pretty well.

Yeah the visible warning signs earlier seems to be have been over-ruled by the fact that this is New Zealand.
