Looking forward to this tournament which starts tomorrow. Great that its a standalone tournament and the games are often at tv friendly times.

In total, 23 games are on TV. This is messy but..

GAS, you were saying Strikers are reliant on NZ players. Dont forget Stafanie Taylor and of course Schutt and Wellington are good. Sarah Coyte might be handy. The player I dont really get for them is Tahlia McGrath. Seems to be rated higher than I rate her.

Great to see Amelia Kerr sign with the Heat. I hope she'll do really well, and it should help with her development.

Taylor is only doing about half the season iirc, she's still a good signing though. Schutt will be her usual reliable self no doubt.

Well0 the one I am really interested to watch, can she have a big tournament and work her way back past Wareham in the pecking order? She's been working on her batting a fair bit over the off season as well, may get the odd opportunity up the order on occasion

Oh man Amanda-Jades batting was so dire last year, hope she improves.

Hurricanes roster seems to have improved (it needed to tbf).

Yeah, she's better than that though, hopefully we can see evidence of this. Made 60 on the weekend, but the gulf in quality between grade cricket and the WBBL is obviously vast.

Keep an eye out on young Darcie Brown too, genuinely a real livewire with ball in hand. If she can avoid injury she'll be playing for Australia before her 20th birthday. You heard it here first

I'm going to cling onto my unpopular and largely unsubstantiated opinion that Alana King is better based on the fact that all her best games have been the ones I've watched tbh.

Lol yeah.

I quite like Ismail. Noticed her playing for RSA a few times and yeah looks alright. 2 bad misfields have cost 7 runs already.

Sydney sixes are totally stacked aren't they. Still can't believe the Heat beat them last season.

She does sometimes get wayward with her bowling. Kinda like Jahanara Alam. I put both of them in the same category as bowlers.

They kind of are but they have such a weird setup since in their top 6 bats, 4 of them are in their best 5/6 bowlers + keeper.

In todays game, the number 11 bowled 1 over. The number 9 and 7 didnt bowl at all. I can sort of get Lauren Smith as she is kinda energetic in the field but yeah inbalanced.
