ICC Sim League VIII

Cricketer Of The Year
ICC Sim League VIII

I've had a few ninjas over the past couple of months voice their desire to see another edition of the Sim League so I'd dust off the old bird & run another edition with an idea that that is floating around in my head. This time I'll be doing something new & running a T20 edition of the League. The whole premise is "What if T20 started earlier than it did? Say, in the mid-to-late 90's?"

This hypothetical tournament will take place some-time during the 1996 & 1999 real-life ODI World Cups. Will be contested between the Test nations of the day, featuring the players which were active during this era. Oh, and did I mention that in this hypothetical world there was a civil war in Australia, following the team's loss against the mighty Lankans at the '96 World Cup?... More on that later.

-

Tournament Format

T20 World Cup. Each side will meet each other once in the round robin stage, with the top five ranked teams progressing to the finals.

Eligible players must have played international cricket between 18 March 1996 - 1 May 1999. A full list of eligible players can be found below

If you wish to enter all you need to do is pick which team you want to lead & you can go ahead & name your SQUAD of 14 when ready. Please be sure to nominate your captain along with your squad. Looking forward to running the comp & seeing some of the old Sim League crew in action.

Tbh I'm not sure what the CC engine bases its ratings on. FC stats are probably a good rule of thumb though.

By the way squad size is 14.

Richardson didn't play within the allotted timeframe I'm afraid Shri. Also, your squad has one too many players in it. Squad size is 14.
