The bowling quintet(generally a quartet) would have played a part in enforcing follow on. Also, Umesh, Ishant and Shami didn't bowl heck a lot in the first innings.

Ishant’s improved leaps and bounds in so many ways but the simplest and most effective wicket taking option he has is that fuller inducker to the right hander. His natural length is always missing the stumps so when he slips it in batsmen get stuck on the crease. Someone like Morkel didn’t use it enough imo.
To his credit he gets it to bend in quite a fair bit so it’s not that easy to do, but the premise is just so basic.

If it is not going to rain, India has around 140 overs to bowl out SA. Should be a lot of time. Not that bowling for that long is going to be easy. 5 bowlers are definitely going to help though.

Compare the posts in this thread with the number of posts in the 2015 thread. Looks like no one here expected much of this series either.
The pitches this time have actually been sporting but saf have never looked threatening with the ball and we know they suck with the bat. They kept collapsing to sri lanka at home for under par scores.

Ashwin equals Lillee in wickets. No one else has taken more wickets since his debut. Lyon has 355 wickets as well since November 2011(in 21 matches more though).
