Probably. I laugh at that coming from you of all people considering the pitches Sri Lanka used to prepare for Murali.Bangladesh just missed a trick but not preparing green tracks. Their batsmen can handle movement much better than Afghans. Wait for the SL vs AFG tests, and you will see a green seaming track in PSS and a hard, bouncy pitch with tinge of green in Pallekele being prepared.
And suddenely they become featherbeds when we are discussing Sangakkara. O ye, I see.Probably. I laugh at that coming from you of all people considering the pitches Sri Lanka used to prepare for Murali.
Sangakkara is one of the best batsman ever. I'm not biased about anything here. Probably the most underrated batsman in the history of test cricket along with Kallis. And suddenely they become featherbeds when we are discussing Sangakkara. O ye, I see.
Sangakkara struggled against off spinners not named Ajmal. How do you feel Sangakkara would have played against Murali in a test match in Sri Lanka? Part of me is thinking that Sangakkara would have dominated him with the bat regardless of Murali dominating touring sides with the ball. And that's even with Sangakkara being a left handed player. What do you think?
Are you sure? I say that as despite the stats vs Ajmal being very dominant Sangakkara still averaged 66.59 against spin overall (since jan 2002 most of career) and "only" 55.77 against pace. And that's overall, outside the subcontinent he "only" averaged 53.1 vs spin and 44.4 vs pace. He was a monster vs spin, even more so in the sub continent. These are since jan 2002 I couldn't find since the very start of career.Sangakkara struggled against off spinners not named Ajmal.
Sangakkara did not face many quality off spinners. Only Ajmal, Swann and Ashwin were of class. He struggled against Swann and Ashwin. He was a monster against wrist spin and left arm spin. Are you sure? This is as a specialist batsman on the ladder
