Ha, I was thinking about the same an hour back looking at the way Sir RJ has been batting. Mankad for now, Jadeja should surpass him shortly. A few more quality performances abroad needed.

Vinoo Mankad was India’s best player and carried the team single handedly while Jadeja isn’t even sure of his place in the team.
Mankad was the first choice pick back then. Jadeja is the first player to be dropped if India needs an extra batsman or fast bowler.

Jadeja the bowler is under-rated. Averages sub 30 in all countries except England and NZ. Keeps the runs down when he is not taking wickets. There is a great chance he will be a lock for an Indian ATG XI by the time he retires.
Him getting dropped abroad should not be held against him in comparison with Mankad. Vinoo averages 42 with the ball abroad,Jadeja 36. In Mankad's time, new ball bowlers were non existent in India. If he was playing today, he would also be dropped as often.
