    Gibbs could've been a Springbok rugby player. Incredibly gifted sportsman.

    Don't think that's true. It was a choice between football and cricket, and he actually preferred football, but got an opportunity in cricket first.

    Which doesn't take away from the talented part, of course.

    Gibbs played SA Schools rugby (http://www.rugby15.co.za/school-boys...et-1974-2014/]), although that doesn't necessarily mean that he would have made it into the senior side. But you'd suspect that he would have had a good chance if he'd opted for rugby.

    Ah, fair dues. I wasn't aware of that; only the football and cricket. Makes him even more impressive.
