Windies did pretty recently in the first session but they built up 20 minutes of good pressure after lunch which led to Blackwood's wicket and it was largely a procession from that point.

Wouldn't be too harsh on the Windies this series as some of the Indian bowling was absolutely outstanding, especially Bumrah's new ball bowling.

Holder's batting at 7 now but in this lineup it still feels at least a spot too low. But moving him up seems to create more problems than it solves.

This is a **** assembly of commentators other than Bishop. Gavaskar has just become outright impolite in his dotage, to see him go on in Hindi about Nehra ji and Sharma ji while sharing time with Ganga (?). Don't know whose bright idea it was to have Swann be the MC, the guy is plain awkward. Ajay Jadeja ffs? Even Richards feels nervous and camera shy at times.

Who was the commentator trying to defend Jadeja after he got a wicket off a no-ball because the no-ball rule is unfair towards him? Such nonsense. He should never ever be in a position of bowling a no-ball.

If he doesn't bowl then he probably doesn't make the full strength lineup IMO; to me that makes #7 perfectly fine. Obviously they have outs that might make that more questionable, but I think his role should probably be decided by the full strength lineup.

Batting techniques look like they have deteriorated and the grit which was so admirable against Eng went missing too. Been a series of disappointments from them since that WC loss against Aus.

Well he wasn't in the initial squad but with several other batsmen unavailable and with Blackwood being a Jamaican local there were certainly not many alternatives.

Fair enough. I did underrate Jaddu for a while tbh, thought his bowling was more or less just guileless darts but there is a fair bit more to him than that. Been a quality Test performer for a while now
