Since the beginning of 2018, Ishant has taken 46 wickets at 20.34. Average is even better than Bumrah. Not a right way to compare an experienced player with a new one, but just an interesting stat.

He has become a much better bowler with experience and also not having to bother with LOI cricket.

If Cummins makes a duck it will be the longest duck ever for the West Indies, beating Keith Arthurton's 40 ball duck against England in 1995.

Awful choice of shot from Cummins in the end, if he'd connected he'd have got runs and ruined the record. Thank heavens he missed and got bowled

Seems like West Indies have all but given up on the field though they're still in the game here.

Rahul can be such a dumb ****, shame since he's a talented shotmaker.

this general decline in scoring in tests, is it because of a decline in batting standards (maybe too much focus on limited over cricket especially the 20/20 stuff) or an improvement in bowling standards?

WI's bowling attack has improved and they are making pace-friendly wickets and using the Dukes ball at home these days. In general, yeah, a bit of both as evidenced by the Ashes.

WI still in this with those 3 wickets in that session, two of them pretty cheap, but still. Need these two to dig in and ensure that India bat at least two more sessions in this match.

It could be the batting standards but every team bar SL have a good to great pace attack going for them at the moment.

This is a great spell by Roach, bowls superb outswingers from that wider angle.
