Right, because Jayasuriya at #6 is a much better ODI batsman than Ponting, Jones, Hussey, Gilchrist, M. Waugh, Bevan, etc... Remember, this thread is best ODI batsman, not ODI cricketer, but nice vote twist

Jayasuriya has 3 things going for him over all those guys:

1) Man of the tournament at a WC
2) Ridiculous strike rate, especially for his era, genuinely one of the handful of players who revolutionized the game
3) Not Australian. Even though by all accounts, he's a bit of a ****.

You just have to look at your own list. Lara and Jones over Tendulkar. Sanga,Chappell and Hussey over Kohli. Difficult not to see a pattern here

Burgey is at least consistent in his opinion and stands by it.

This is funny because the only bloke in your top five worth a squirt of piss when push comes to shove in the biggest games in the biggest tourney is Dhoni, and you've put him fourth. If you're going to do a decent troll, you should have put Aravinda and Jayasuriya higher. They've got it all over the blokes above them because they didn't throw up all over themselves when it mattered most.
