Nope. He's definitely sticking around until the Australia test series next summer, and has not ruled out playing on until 2023.

For me, there is never enough blackcap cricket to gorge on...but this feels too soon.

Fleming scored 274 in a tour to Sri Lanka in 2003, found this on YouTube - GEM of a video

I remember he declared to try to win the game at 274 not out, then the bowlers couldn't do the job, as usual, lol

I would have taken the 300, lol

    When is the team announced?

I wonder if a few players will opt out post CWC heartbreak/mental and physical exhaustion and after the church attacks in SL.

Iím especially interested in spinners picked from Somerville, Ajaz, Santner, Astle, Sodhi, and Ravindra (who is better than part-timer)

I would give the cwc starters a break from t20s

    Munro
    Seifert
    Ravindra
    Young
    Philips
    Anderson
    Kuggs
    Milne
    Sodhi
    Tinkner
    Nut/Jamieson/Rance

Might not be the most balanced team but I am more excited for the exposure and development of our next gen

Lead by the great Munro, Milne and Corey. No idea who the cap is tho, lol, Ish?

Best players to join Kane, Fergey, Boult, Santa, Neesh, the rest of the senior players have to fight for positions as well. Even Santa might have to fight for his position too

I remember that match-winning partnership between Taylor and Williamson, Astle getting his maiden test wicket and Southee swinging the ball with Damien Wright as bowling coach. Also, that might have been the first time Williamson played with facial hear (presumably part of Movember).

Man in 7 years Kane will be around Ross' age and we'll be talking about retirement. He'll be the McCaw of cricket and hopefully he can get that Cup before he hangs up his....gloves

Wasn't the last tour just after the captaincy thing, and Taylor was captain?

Lara would have just batted the game out and been 400 not out

Yeah, Taylor was captain on that tour then was controversially replaced by McCullum. Pleased that saga is well behind everyone.

Still looking forward to reading Ross' perspective on the whole fiasco in a couple of years time.

The way in which McCullum came into the NZ captaincy in the first place is pretty much the reason I couldn't really like him, makes his whole nice guy schtick from a couple of years later just seem so hypocritical. Ross was shafted bigtime, but it is a credit to him that he has largely put that behind him and got on with his career
