Are Rohit and Kohli bottlers in ODI knockouts?

WC semi 2015, CT 2017 final, WC semi 2019...it is becoming a pattern now. Despite all the stats and numbers, time and again both Kohli and Sharma have failed to turn up in the knockouts. Is this a coincidence or just an inability to deal with the pressure of knockouts?

Wonder whose multi Amirfan is?

It's funny to watch the knives come out after big games like this from the armchair critics around the world. The sad fact of the matter is that one team had to lose on the day. That's just the way it goes.

It's a legitimate question. Even experts such as Basit Ali, Tanveer Ahmed, Abdul Razzaq and Shoaib Akhtar have pointed this out. There's no doubt they are both great batsmen but when it comes to the big games they are very vulnerable and their records prove this. If you have something to add other than ad hominem, disparaging remarks and snide comments it would be nice.

In the 2017 CT semi-final, Rohit Sharma scored 123* and Kohli scored a 96*.
In the 2018 Asia Cup final, Rohit scored 48, the highest from India. Kohli didn't play.

Not really counting Asia Cup tbh. CT and WC basically. I remember the CT 2017 SF but with all due respect it was against Bangladesh. Kohli's best ODI knockout innings was probably Vs England in 2013.

Because?

And Bangladesh are a good side now. No call for a "with all due respect" disclaimer.

Bhai you guys lost pretty badly on the 16th and these two hit you guys for a lot of runs (not to mention Asia cup etc). Those scars will never heal. See you next year for the annual Pakistan beatdown by India.

These guys are just sore (just like you). Combined together they have won a sum total of 0 world cups and 0 champions trophies.

Kohli is already a World Cup winner as well as a Champions Trophy winner. That is about the maximum that a Asian non indian player has ever achieved in his career.

Rohit is also a Champions Trophy winner and already scored more WC hundreds than any Asian non indian player ever.

Whatever happens, the smaller Asian countries will always be weaker than India and not just in cricket but politically too. That's why there is a lot of animosity by the Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and Lankans against us. But let's face it boys, you guys are as important as a few Indian states in the grand scheme of things.
