Specialists draft

AndrewB

International Vice-Captain
Well, bear in mind that Curtly Ambrose is not a valid pick in this draft because his batting was too good...

But I think it's probably easiest to stick to the original criteria and allow any wicket-keeper (other than, say, Boucher and Walcott who fail on their averages).

Order for Round 1:
Red Hill
trundler
AndrewB
kingkallis
Michaelf7777777
a massive zebra
SillyCowCorner1
mr_mister
Fuller Pilch
Teuton

16 hours per pick for Round 1, 8 hours after that. Order for Round 2 is reverse of order for Round 1 as usual. And we're sticking to the original criteria and allowing wicket-keeper-batsmen.

I'm not gonna pick my keeper first, but why dont we say "keeper must have kept in more than 75% of matches played"?

I think something like this is good, maybe a higher percentage to emphasise specialisation. Would that mean that for example Alec Stewart is ineligible for selecting as a specialist batsman too? This would seem to fit the intent of the draft.

I don't think having played as a keeper should prevent a player from being picked as a non-keeper, since I don't see how it would benefit them.

International Coach
So have we sorted out the wicket-keeper criteria?

Adam Gilchrist played all his tests as designated wicket-keeper so I will go for him.
