I think something like this is good, maybe a higher percentage to emphasise specialisation. Would that mean that for example Alec Stewart is ineligible for selecting as a specialist batsman too? This would seem to fit the intent of the draft.

I don't think having played as a keeper should prevent a player from being picked as a non-keeper, since I don't see how it would benefit them.

I agree. This is a good idea but a higher percentage like 90% would be a more accurate indicator of specialisation, IMO.

Yeah, I wondered about that too - in the 5th Test of the 1909-10 series in SA, Neville Tufnell was brought in as keeper (batting at 9) but Strudwick stayed in the side (batting at 10) for some reason - maybe no-one else was fit to play?
