“Universally Challenged” Draft Idea

The full line-up

Wayne Larkins: 13 games - 493 runs @ 20.54
Saleem Elahi: 13 games - 436 runs @ 18.95
Aftab Ahmed: 16 games - 582 runs @ 20.78
Carlton Baugh: 21 games - 610 runs @ 17.94
George Lohmann: 18 games - 213 runs @ 8.87
David Capel: 15 games - 374 runs @ 15.58, 21 wickets @ 50.66, S/R 95.20 - doesn't qualify quite as a specialist bowler so I'll use him as my 5th bowler if the other 4 can't get the necessary wickets.
Ken James: 11 games - 52 runs @ 4.72, 11 catches and 5 stumpings.
Abdur Razzak: 13 games - 28 wickets @ 59.75, S/R 107.60
Asoka de Silva: 10 games - 8 wickets @ 129.00, S/R 291.00 plus bonus of being able to stand at square leg when we're batting if there's only one qualified umpire and ****ing it up on more than one level.
Tapash Baisya: 21 games - 36 wickets @ 59.36, S/R 93.60
Shafiul Islam: 11 games - 17 wickets @ 55.41, S/R 102.00

My tail may wag a bit as they all average over 10 but they'll make up for it by failing to create chances (and then seeing the chances to the keeper go down as he only catches one per game).

Drew my inspiration from Border era Australia, 90s England, 00s Bangladesh and the plentifully dire history of Indian fast bowling.

A wholly risible team but the saddest thing of all is that in reality they'd all still be better cricketers than me even if they were blindfolded and turned the wrong way round :whistling

Congratulations to the nine members who completed the "Universally Challenged" draft! This unconventional draft certainly took us out of our comfort zone, but many of you have put together some fantastically horrendous sides and many universally challenged Test cricketers have made a dishonourable debut appearance in a cricketweb draft!
