You should have known better that by starting this thread, he has more chances of being hated than otherwise.Guys lets hope Kholi calms down these last few remaining years we dont want him to ruin his cricket legacy by being hated.
I suppose it's the modern equivalent of the 100 FC hundreds of the 20th century. Whatever, it does mean the batsman's been pretty good at switching gears between formats and for a long, long time too. What is with this dumbass 100 100s stat? It is contrived, and for what? Tendulkar has the most 100's in the format that counts. Kohli looks like he will take him out in the other one. So they can both rest their hats on a real stat rather than a dumbass contrived stat.
Wouldn't term 100 International 100s as dumbass. What is with this dumbass 100 100s stat? It is contrived, and for what? Tendulkar has the most 100's in the format that counts. If he does that, a pretty good chance, he doesn't need a hundred hundreds to hang his coat on. He'll be great by all traditional measures.Wouldn't term 100 International 100s as dumbass.
Kohli if he plays at 80 pc of this form for next 8 years or so, will overtake Tendulkar by a good margin in tests and one dayers
Exactly - that is why you count each one separately and don't need to mash them together to make some fugly hybrid.Wtf, only hundreds in Tests count, other White ball crap doesn't
Can you really see him playing another 8 years?Wouldn't term 100 International 100s as dumbass.

Indeed, with the exception of a rare few such as Sanga, Barrington, Chanderpaul & Flower, who all averaged 55+ after the age of 30. and Bradman >100.As in most of these cases "on course" is meaningless. No batsman keeps producing runs/centuries at the same rate as when at his peak. People often just assume run scoring will continue past age 30-32 but in the majority of cases it slows down significantly or the decline is so steep that the career just sort of ends way sooner than projected.
