What a joke middle order we have. One of the worst in the world and it will cost us the WC.

Rohit is one of the best openers of all time imo. Only Tendulkar is comfortably better.

Dhoni played his usual poor innings, but today we were in such a deep hole to start with, that it turned out to be vaguely in tune with what was needed (would have probably looked a lot worse without Rohit at the other end).

eh, i thought that by the time he got out (i.e. sawn off) india were in a pretty competitive position. all you can ask for once you've lost as many wickets as you have runs.
A consolidating innings was definitely what was needed, but even so, striking at ~50 isn't really fast enough. It's not the worst of this type of innings he's played recently, granted.
