Matskenyeri and Taylor I would add.

And Panyangara hasn't done too bad either.
You are underestimating Kenya. They are a good side and all their 1st 11 are much better than Taylor or Panyangara.

SO Tikolo 63 61 2 1708 106* 28.94 71.61 1 14 20 -
MA Vermeulen 20 20 4 458 79 28.62 69.28 - 4 5 -
MO Odumbe 61 59 5 1409 83 26.09 69.96 - 11 12 -
RD Shah 42 42 0 1092 71 26.00 63.23 - 10 11 -
HS Modi 53 46 7 959 78* 24.58 58.36 - 5 8 -
T Taibu 59 46 13 809 96* 24.51 59.61 - 4 51 3
KO Otieno 61 60 1 1412 144 23.93 55.78 2 8 25 13
DD Ebrahim 67 61 4 1154 121 20.24 57.47 1 2 18 -

SO Tikolo 63 273.5 6 1418 40 35.45 3-14 - - 41.0 5.17
DT Hondo 44 298.2 19 1656 44 37.63 4-37 3 - 40.6 5.55
TM Odoyo 61 443.2 32 2163 57 37.94 4-28 1 - 46.6 4.87
CO Obuya 28 222 8 1125 25 45.00 5-24 - 1 53.2 5.06
MO Odumbe 61 372.5 21 1807 39 46.33 4-38 1 - 57.3 4.84
MA Suji 59 452 45 1976 41 48.19 4-24 1 - 66.1 4.37

BRM Taylor 5 5 0 118 74 23.60 51.98 - 1 1 -
T Panyangara 5 33.2 6 172 4 43.00 1-22 - - 50.0 5.16

As we can see, from the current Zimbabwe side only Taibu, Vermeulen and Hondo would definitely make it into the Kenya team. Ebrahim would be on the fringes. Taylor and Panyangara would not be in contention.

Err, no! They made it to the World cup semi finals beating a number of test sides on the way. They beat a good Sri Lanka team and the full strength Zimbabwe side who are a million times stronger than this one yet you still think most of the current Zimbabwe side is better than them. Clearly you are in the wrong.

A Zimbabwe side that was completely shattered and demoralised through the Flower-Olonga infighting. They beat them a couple of months after in Sharjah.

1) It's laughable to judge Taylor and Panyangara on four games
2) Odumbe and Tikolo are not full time bowlers

I'd definitely drop Modi for either Taylor or Matsikenyeri and Ongondo or Tony Suji for Panyangara.

Despite Taylor having a better average than Ebrahim and Panyangara having a better bowling average than most of the one's listed?

I'd also point out that neither has performed that badly in the Test series.

You can't judge a player in 5 games and he would not have been selected for Kenya in the 1st place so would not have those figures.

Yet you can judge them as worse?

And how can you say they wouldn't have been selected for Kenya?

You can judge them as worse because they wouldn't be selected for Kenya because the country has better players with far more experience. Do you seriously think Taylor/Parangeda would get in the Zimbabwe side if the rebels had not abstained? Kenya beat that Zimbabwe side with Streak/Flower/Flower/Olonga etc and reached the World Cup semi finals, something Zimbabwe could only dream of even with a full strength side.

Yet Zimbabwe made the Super Sixes, not that much worse.

The fact is though that only the boycotts got Kenya into the Semis, so that doesn't say a great deal about them on its own.

Zimbabwe also benefitted from a boycott. And they didn't beat any test playing team.

u cant take the credit awat from kenya...they still beat sri lanka, zim and ban and those r three test nations...they also previously beat india, so it shows their is some cricket interest in kenya and i think the icc should favour that and set a academy in kenya

Modi's average is around 25 8-) and he always seems to score 20's to 40's. His record is the same againt all nations while i doubt Matsikenyeri would score much against good attacks. He scores a 40 odd in one game and then fails about dozen matches. My Kenya team with Zim players included

K Obuya
R Shah
M Vermeulen
S Tikolo
M Odumbe
T Odoyo
H Modi
T Taibu
C Obuya
M Suji
D Hondo

Asif Karim could have come in too but he has retired now. B Patel is a good player too imo from what i have seen of him against Aus in Kenya but he hasn't done much since. 4 bowlers in Hondo,Obuya, Suji and Odoyo and two very good part-time spinners in Odumbe and Tikolo.
