He's made one. The rest of his innings have yielded a combined total of 51 runs.

Compare that to any number of other players who have scored runs on multiple occasions.

He's our version of Ramprakash.

2014/15 Voges 1358 and Klinger 1046. Both played 11 matches.

Yeah Clarke's comments are kinda missing the point. We clearly weren't respected with the approach we took, even amongst our own fanbase (which is a far bigger issue than the rest of the world).

The main issue is whether there's a valid middle ground between being timid weaklings who don't know how to win and being overly aggressive arseholes (obviously both things are exaggerated for the purposes of debates). I think there clearly is, but with so much scrutiny over Australian cricket even the slightest misstep could be seen as being Category 2. (Though stuff like the players pact really wasn't necessary and it made things only more cringeworthy)

Maxwell really should have done that county stint. Langer isn't right about him, but he's not exactly had a huge amount of time to switch back to 4 day mode.
