He was also convinced Greg Mail and Scott Henry would play Test cricket, so he doesn't have an impeccable track record.

Mostly I think Sangha looks really good and I already love the way Edwards plays. Predicting Test success is another matter entirely, of course, and I personally don't get the Ponting comparison.

Tassie declared on their overnight score. Wonder what sort of target nsw will set them, if any.

Skull still burned when he told Gilchrist's old man his son wouldn't make it because he hits it in the air through gully. Good on him for telling a story against himself (one of Skull's nice traits) but I think he's wary of talking down anyone with interesting techniques.

Why did Tas bother to declare if they then only score so slow with 1-78 off 32 overs?

If only he had the surname Marsh he'd be a shoe in for the test side with an average of 3.5.

    So a result was possible.

Can't make Jordan Silk do what Jordan Silk don't want to do (score runs at a decent rate)

Yeah Doolan is basically the only guy in their top four suited to an SR over 35 on a good day.

Doolan has had a decent start to the season tbh. They could do worse than consider him for the test side, though they won’t.
