Haven't heard from Marcuss but he hasn't made many changes to his side lately. May as well just sim the SA/NZ clash now.

Big home win for South Africa. Unfortunately this loss sees NZ, who just couldn't capitalise on their early successes, bow out of the tournament.

Onto the final round now. Keep in mind that teams on the same amount of points are listed in alphabetical order in the points table above. Any teams in the top 6 which end up on the same amount of points at the end of round 13 will be separated by quotient.

As you can see it's very tight, with everyone from NSW in 4th to Australia down in 9th able to qualify, or be knocked out, depending on a variety of scenarios. Lancs & WI are safe, but their spot in the top 6 will be dictated by this round's events. Victoria have the bye this round so will need the results of other matches to swing their way.

Please post your teams when ready. It's go time!!

Unchanged.

Think I'd have fewer losses than everyone who isn't England yet still am only an outside chance of qualifying for the finals.

Out of curiosity, here is a version of the points table that displays everyone's W/L record. Sadly your team holds the ignominious record of most drawn matches Morg.

This doesn't surprise. Haven't been beaten since Rd 3 though.

Lancs prevail in one of the matches of the tournament! The game gave the MOTM to Oldfield, but Archie Jackson's effort earned him the MOTM for mine, what an epic knock in the fourth innings.
Great game and great result for me, but a pity we didn't have B Oldfield c B Oldfield.

That's Lancashire's fourth win having been behind on first innings, the margins being 6 runs (v Yorks), 21 runs (v India), 3 wickets (v Pakistan) and now 4 runs; and they also beat Surrey by 3 runs.

It's odd that the bottom two teams (Surrey and Pakistan) are the only ones to avoid defeat against England, with Surrey also managing to beat West Indies. (Pakistan's win was against Surrey).

Incidentally, Bradman's average for the tournament is now 99.64. And John Reid has for some reason still bowled more overs than anyone else.

Funnily enough Pakistan have a really good record against England, NSW and the Windies, I believe they have avoided defeat against all three of those heavy hitters.

And yes, it is rather amazing that John Reid has bowled more overs than anyone else, as you mentioned earlier Andrew, the AI seems to lean towards spin bowlers more than anything. IIRC Reid has the best bowling ability rating out of NZ's spinners.

Might just sim the final round with unchanged lineups. If you wish to make any changes please let me know, if you haven't already, otherwise everyone will play unchanged.

The end of a rather disappointing tournament for Surrey, I really thought they would have been a strong team in this tournament. In retrospect perhaps a merged Surrey/Middlesex team might have been better to include. Would have nerfed the England team a little too. Anyway, the Saffers get their win they needed and qualify for the finals.
