Response thread.

From the Aussie perspective, first nomination is McG. Had a really good last couple years in Tests, excellent final summer in a 5-0 whitewash then had a lovely holiday in the Carribean where he was also man of the tournament snaffling a ton of poles in a WC winning team. ****ing Champion.

How about in honour of the dipped below 50 average at the end of their careers, people who raised their average above 50 near the end of their careers and kept them there?

Waugh and AB to start.

If you ignore the bish bash competitions, Sangakkarra's three seasons at Surrey, 3400 runs at 62.96. He was still somewhere near the top of his game really!
