I'll start:
Jacques Kallis is immensely overrated as an all-rounder. He isn't one like Sobers, Miller and Khan. He's more of a batsman that can bowl a bit, albeit clearly better than anyone else of the same class i.e S Waugh. Kumble isn't an all-rounder and he isn't either. I also think bowling all rounders tend to get underrated. Easier to average 30 and 54 bowling 20 overs per game than 39 and 22 or 40 and 25.

The normal awards that everyone else has
A few years back when everyone was comparing Kallis with Sobers (as an all rounder) was interesting. One thing that got overlooked was that on average, Kallis bowled 20 overs per game, while Sobers bowled almost double that, 38. Sobers bowled more overs per game (on average) than Wes Hall. Sobers most often bowled first change in teams that only contained 4 bowlers (himself included).

So yeh, comparing Sobers to Kallis as an allrounder based on bowling average/SR only completely neglects the fact that Sobers was a true and proper all rounder, while the role Kallis played was mostly 5th bowler.

Or South Africa bowled teams out. either way.

Sachin played for the teams interests, not for his own personal stats. Also, I don't believe he was an alien

Finger spin is the best form of bowling
Attritional cricket on slow dead pitches is entertaining
The Nagpur wicket wasn't that bad
Performances against minnows, on flat decks, and playing at home should all be considered just as important
Gavaskar isn't a racist
Kohli should bat at 4 in ODIs
Some women could complete in top level mens cricket
The best policy to deal with bowlers who chuck is to just ban any bowler that looks dodgy, regardless of what testing shows
On that note - the ICC testing for chucking lacks transparency and that's a problem
Asian desserts are good

Comments: ***** is a silly boy who is more interested in showing off than contributing meaningfully to class.
