Good thing Aus are flying their specialist T20 squad half way around the world for this 1 whole game

Australia's bowling stocks even without Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood and long lost Pattinson still looks better than alright.

Billy Stanlake is reentering 50 overs after a bit of a hiatus with T20 only but has impressed on occasion. That said, he has been cotton wooled in t20 and bowled out early, so people are only guessing where he is at. But ridiculously tall and 150km/h is a good start for any bowler.

Andrew Tye has been very good around the world for a while now.

But that batting? Stoinis has been going strong for a batting allrounder. Carey has impressed (albeit in BBL and Paine is tour captain), will Finch have to carry this team more than he did in the series between the same two sides earlier in this year in Australia?

Smith & Warner will make about the same amount of runs between them as they did in that series in Australia

Paine's international run has been inspirational for the average Joe/Jai.
harsh.ag, do you want to make the thread official and sticky it?

If not, please move it into *****'s suggested thread.

But yes, Tim Paine's rise with ordinary form in the last 8 months has been something to behold.

You can just call it an *official* thread and have the mods take ages to sticky it. Unless it's the IPL thread, in which case it will be instantly pinned and remain so for way too long after the tournament ends.

OTOH I agree with *****.

Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, I’m gratified ***** reprised my gag about Bangladesh Cricket and adapted it to this upcoming series.

I think you spend a few hours each night memorizing them. It hasn't helped, but you should keep at it in an effort to improve.

Will be impressed if we can win a match here.

Me thinks the main reason this tournament exists is to give cricketers something to do during the WC.

I'm absolutely livid about these pointless matches when we could've had a conclusion to Pakistan. More white ball garbage. I'll not be watching.

And who are these Australians? I cannot believe the Aussie press were given the England Ashes team grief for unknown/unrecognizable team members.

Or try and shovel as much cash as possible into the ECB's bank account.
