Test XI for The Last Quarter Century

Gnske

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
I feel doing it for this century (in essence) screws players from the last 10 years (justifiably).

It's not, I wouldn't put him in there personally but it's not like you're shoving in some hack.

GoodAreasShane

Cricketer Of The Year
Personally I would go with something like this:

1. Hayden
2. Smith
3. Ponting
4. Tendulkar
5. Lara
6. Kallis
7. Gilchrist
8. Akram
9. Warne
10. Donald
11. McGrath

Sanga was incredibly close to selection, but I wanted a genuine 5th bowler so Kallis gets the nod. Ambrose, Murali, SWaugh, Steyn and Chanderpaul were also definitely considered

From what I witnessed (born in 1992, started following cricket 2003)

Sehwag
Smith
Ponting
Sangakkara
Lara
Kallis
Gilchrist
Warne
Steyn
Asif (happy to bring in a new name)
Mcgrath

Victor Ian

International Coach
I think you need Waugh in there. We saw what happens when you assemble a team of greats in the world v Aussie game. Need Waugh in there to say 'listen ****s... ' and make them play the opposition and not themselves.

With that in mind
Smith
Ponting (I like harsh's thinking)
Lara
Tendulkar
Kallis
Waugh
Gilchrist
Akram
Murali
Steyn
Mcgrath

Unlucky to miss out... So many.
