I like how they say that if the Indian authorities went after this D Company lot "it would be a powder keg for the region." GAGF.

We should probably just stop playing teams from the subcontinent tbh. Just stick with Eng, NZ, SA, WI & Ireland. They can all keep playing amongst themselves, fixing matches, doctoring pitches etc. and we can have our nice clean comp. Sure some of our players might make a little less but it will be worth it for our moral superiority.

Tbh champ if you're looking for a nice clean comp the #cheatingaussies would have no place in it.

Match fixing isn't all bad. At least you can justify some ****** performances with them. Perhaps Australia have recently moved the line. After the just concluded series, now would be a good time to find out Australia are match fixing.

Well tbh when you look at what they've done . . . banning your best players for a year for an incident that is at most usually a 1 match ban . . . constantly resting your "injured" fast bowlers for international series. That alone is probably going to make you lose more matches than what most convicted match fixers have done.

Would almost be a relief to find that some higher-ups in CA had made deals about Australia performing poorly in 2018-19 prior to the bans . . .

And start seeing players defecting to IPL and a similar 50-50 and a List A series in India.

I was thinking the same when I read that England's 2012 tests in the UAE were part of this. Had to be some reason why the batting was so poor.

Al Jazeera criticises ICC, CA, ECB responses to spot-fixing allegations - ESPNcricinfo

Some choice cuts:

In a statement, a spokesperson for Al Jazeera's Investigative Unit said it had been five weeks since the channel put certain questions to the ICC, and now urged them to answer the following:
What action has it taken to track down Munawar since our first documentary was broadcast on May 27, 2018?
The ICC is not an intelligence agency with the ability to just go and do this.

Is the ICC confident that match-fixers cannot get close to international players?
Has al-Jazeera been living under a boulder since the 2010 Pakistan case etc?

How many players, international and others, has the ICC found guilty of match-fixing or spot-fixing in the past five years? Who are those players and what were the punishments handed out in each case?
If you were actually journalists you could and would easily research this yourself lazy ****s.

It is for this reason that we are in discussions with Interpol about handing over the evidence to them
Interpol is not an international intelligence organisation, the main thing they can do is hand said evidence to the police in the relevant country (India) and ask them to do something about it.

The whole thing's worth reading. It's a real Miyagi-like haughtiness from al-Jazeera. The worst part is criticising everyone for not being transparent and not answering questions when they more than any other party in this have failed at these, with the investigation and documentaries being opaque as anything and the consistent evasions of requests to actually give conclusive evidence and asking others to research what they should be doing themselves.

Meanwhile, in actual ICC fixing news, Nuwan Zoysa's been pinged.

Kinda gutting tbh, always loved me some Zoysa. Was such a hero battler.

He's their bowling coach isn't he? More grist for the mill of sledger's thread tbh. It just stacks up. Unfortunately, it appears these countries don't have the requisite moral fibre to play our great game, and should be banned on a wholesale basis.

'A' team bowling coach, hasn't had contact with the national team since he was a player, shocking nonetheless
