The top all-rounders (by rating)

To put numbers to it, after 78 tests Pollock had taken 318 wickets at 20.83, better average than anyone with 200+ wickets.
I was surprised by this and meant to check it, but have only just got round to doing so...

It's slightly misleading in a way, because a few other bowlers have had averages below 20.83 while having taken 200+ wickets.

However, Pollock does top this list with his figures earlier in his career:

_______BOWLER____M__Wks___Avge
____SM_Pollock__49__209__19.82
___MD_Marshall__56__284__20.27
___CEL_Ambrose__46__214__20.51
__Waqar_Younis__38__204__20.54
______J_Garner__44__202__20.83
_____IT_Botham__42__211__20.93
____FS_Trueman__59__275__20.95
____GD_McGrath_110__508__21.01
M_Muralitharan_113__700__21.33
_____AA_Donald__64__310__21.42

(Figures given are the best averages that bowler ever had at the end of an innings, having taken 200+ wickets, not necessarily at the end of a match. The only change in order if you don't allow averages part way through a match is that Garner drops below Botham and Trueman).

Here's the top 100 all-rounders (by peak rating) in ODIs. As was suggested earlier, Kapil Dev is top by a fair margin, though not 100.

Nobody gives a **** about ODIS.. It's a new format, so flawed statistics. Especially when you compare "the greatest players/all rounders"..

Bradman never played any ODI game. Doesn't mean he's not the greatest of all time, by a HUGE margin. In his own stratosphere

Same thing goes for Keith Miller, Sobers, Ian Botham etc.. for All Rounders

I give a **** about ODI stats. I don't give a **** about you, though.
Who's Redsok? To the blind, he is the light. To the hungry, he's the bread. To the sick, he is the cure. To the lonely, he is a partner. To the sad, he is the joy. To the prisoner, he is freedom. To the poor, he is a treasure. To those in debt, he is money... for me, he is Redsok.
