Nah, that would be sensible,
Your thoughts on the "5 bowlers" comment from Kane (quoted post-toss on Cricinfo). Does it mean they have realised that Kitchen was the wrong choice, but are too polite to discard him from the squad mid-series? Or are they just dicking around with the formation of the bowling lineup before the serious T20 games against Aust and Eng?
I thought the point of having a 5th batsman who can roll their arm over (Kitchen) was to protect the weakest bowler (e.g. de Grandhomme) from needing to bowl 4 overs. That's what I took from Hesson's comment on team selection "“We’d like to see Mark continue to work on his bowling, which could open up other opportunities for him outside of just that number five spot [top 5 meaning 4 batters + keeper].”"
