ODI Modern Country Draft (2000s)

oblongballs

U19 Debutant
Also, if the next players make their picks, can they also picks for round 7 (if they are the first picks there)? Just so we can keep this moving because it had a very good pace, but it's slowed down today...just as I have time off haha

Calm down mate, plus I mentioned them in relation to a separate discussion but fine.

But the issue isn't how a team may perform, the issue here is world class players that are eligible to be picked. I just mentioned the names you obviously didn't know. That includes at least 2 world class spinners, 4 or 5 world class bowlers and 3 or 4 world class batsmen. You can't counter that at all. India can't even field one world class fast bowler in the ODI format (eligible in this time frame), England may have 1 or 2 (I can't name them obviously) and NZ have about 1, who is already picked.

Pakistan are certainly a top 2 or 3 side in terms of players eligible for this draft (Aus and SA the other 2 imo). I see the problem with you is that I am not making India part of that list but that is on you. If you can't have a cricket discussion and know only to talk about India that is fine, but don't drag me into that please.
Pakistan have a good crop of players overall compared to India.

I see that you are a new member of CW. So, you have no ****ing idea about who knows what and who is partial to which team.

Welcome to CW. Hope wisdom will make you modest.

in before oblongballs names some unpicked Indian players now

In seriousness, you are right when it comes to bowling department - but nowhere near in batting, and not overall. Sri Lanka also has had a good bunch of players in 2000s - comparable pool to Pakistan's imo.

India became a seriously good side around post 2005 like in 50 overs.
There new bats have been sensational.
Pakistan on the other hand have serious bowling talent, that I'm sure is second to Australia and South Africa only.

Pakistan's batting post 2007-8 has been a bit of a disappointment tbh.But felt overall Pakistan were slightly ahead.
