***Official*** India in South Africa 2017/18

Don't want SA to let up now like they did in the first innings. India managed to get to 209 from 92/7 after all. They snuff it out now that they got the bit in.

Don't care if Rohit scores 120000 runs in the next series they play Sri Lanka, he can **** the **** off if he contributes nothing here. This is Rahane territory, time for this dude to step the **** up.

Despite India's seam attack doing brilliantly in this match, this is what's lacking in their pedigree - they can't get a ball to rise like that. As a batting side, that's one thing you don't have tow worry about. Exact opposite for Indian batsmen. They always have to be wary of that ball.

Unplayable. Game over. The pitch and the bowlers are too good. Even 150 would've been pretty difficult to chase.

Now India need to play ODI cricket. Go at 6 runs an over. Try to really unsettle the bowlers, only chance of even getting close to the target.

cliche, but how many balls have the indian batsmen left on length? doesn't feel like it's something they've employed enough.

Beautiful from Morkel today. His line is good, just a hint of swing and good pace. PLus, it has taken him a while but over the last several months, he has understood the importance of sometimes pitching it on a good length, rather than always being short. Great point brought up by former skipper Smith.

it does feel like pujara is bringing a lot of fight to these innings but not much else. not really clear what his plan is beyond mere survival, and in these conditions even that can't be counted on as just shown.
He might not personally score very many, but it definitely helps the others the longer he sticks in there.

Doesn't have the strokeplay against pace to cash in after fighting through an initial tough phase.

Seems like that's what Sharma is trying.

This feels like that Ind vs Aus Bangalore Test. I think that ended up as a comfortable win for India on paper but was a very clise chase. This I think SA will win comfortably. Rohit over Rahane looking very wise now.

not really what you need from your #3 though. it's not like the middle order behind him is absolutely stacked.

Pandya should come in next. Just go for it. Nothing to lose. There's no way India is chasing this without going on a big counter attack!!

yeah. and him playing at rising deliveries from the crease that should probably be left on length is not a new thing for him, brutishness of that delivery aside.

It is an alright tactic against most attacks, because you just see off the top bowlers. But when facing a top quality attack there is no let up.
