Canterbury trying to bum some loan players off NSW as we speak. No squad to give you.

Good round up, Otago looking quite good on paper. I'm picking Firebirds, Otago and ND to win if no draws of course. Basin pitch definitely producing result.

Cribb rustled around in his NSW reserves and couldn't spare an Arjun Nair or someone for Canterbury. They obviously felt they were doing the favour in playing Henry Nicholls in the Sydney Thunder last season.

Howsie tipped Brett Hampton into their begging bowl.

Canterbury: Cole McConchie (c), Chad Bowes, Jack Boyle, Michael Davidson, Leo Carter, Michael Pollard, Cameron Fletcher, Tim Johnston, Will Williams, Blake Coburn, Fraser Sheat, Brett Hampton/Andrew Hazeldine.

If you want to make use of CricHQ while it's still a going concern, the links for scoring in today's Wellington and Auckland club cricket.

Auckland - https://www.crichq.com/competitions/1791/draws/32642/rounds

A late transfer to Adventure Park in Whitby for Conway.
Cheers mate, very handy. Can't see the detailed scorecards for games that are still going on though. Looks like all the firebirds played for their respective clubs.

Karori getting over 450 against Petone at stamp sized Ben burn park. Seriously why do they play there? It's literally 30-40 meter fences all over. Blundell, Bracewell and murdoch must have smashed it.

Rakitha not getting off the mark today. The firebirds practice game was on pooch and he doesn't look anywhere close to how he used to from his under 19 days. I hope he can get some runs this season and finds his touch again.

NEW ZEALAND U19 RED vs NEW ZEALAND U19 BLUE

A handy 3/29 and 84(80) for Ravindra, but his side will still lose.
Boy you keep a tab of all local games around nz. Are these selection games? I thought the under 19 comp is in Dec. I hope they haven't scrapped that.

Why do they even bother playing the four Murray, Ravindra, Allen and Phillips? I would have thought they'd be giving other lads a go to see how they stack up. Majority of one side's runs are scored by Ravindra and rapidly. The rest are just chipping a bit. Even in the bowling Felix and Ravindra have bowled 20 overs for not much. The rest have bowled 30 overs for over 7 runs per over. If Finn Allen struck in he would have smashed few as well. Good thing is looks like Ravindra is fully fit.

There are four wellington lads in the mix including Ravindra. Hopefully they'll go well.

The K clarke and Sandeep are quite handy players BTW and the M Fischer guy is the quickest of the lot. Lockrose is another very good left arm spinner with promise.

Oh yeah I doubt Ravindra and Allen are playing for any reason other than to see how the fringe bowlers handle a quality bat.

Yeah if anyone does opt for CricHQ's subscription service to get their live scorecards and season stats back, note the promo code below. The company could disappear on you, but I suppose you're only risking US$1.99 a month if you keep it running.

CricHQ's sudden collapse a surprise to NZ Cricket

Kippax's curse. Wellingtonians never put their foot on the throat of a cricket match for too long.

Haha I know what you mean but this bloke is a different beast. Never seen someone as consistent run scorer in the age group cricket (since under 15s) ever having followed it and been part of it for so many years, he's safe as a gold reserve. Even when the likes of Zac Gibson, Nathan Smith etc were in the 19s he was hard to knock over.

Bit unfair for Lockrose a very quality left arm bowler and the opening bowlers bowling to Ravindra two days in a row as he gives no chance at the top. Looking at the last two day's score card, he's barely faced much balls in comparison to other batters. Either he's so good they can't keep him on strike for long or the other batters just don't know how to rotate strike.

Glad to see K Clarke scoring good runs, I expect him to make the squad. Very positive batsman from what I've seen.
