    An interesting stat:

Over the past 3 years (before this current) in test cricket for the Windies, there have been 0 occurrences of a batsman being left stranded in the 90s. Now we might possibly see 2 occur in two consecutive innings.

    How apt lol

The last time a Windies spinner reached his 100th test wicket was in 2001

    Carl Hooper

That was the series where Lara played like an immortal against Vaas and Murali- 688 runs in 6 innings at 114.67
Dinanath Ramnarine also made some kind of history:

In 6 innings he batted, he never crossed the mark in any. 4 ducks, and two 0*

Guess there must still be some beef between him and the board. Or maybe he's not matcb fit?? Best of luck in NZ. At least they got rid of K Hope.

Darren Bravo hasn't made himself available as yet that's why Windies not included him.

I love what Stuart Law is prepping Shimron for.

This tour around the world is good exposure to the young man. When he gets the chance again, it's gonna be epic.

I'd play Shimron at 6 personally. He's done everything that has been asked of him and it just feels like the right time. I think he could be devestating against tiring bowlers who have hopefully just bowled loads of overs against Kraigg et all.

Id be tempted to bat Blackwood at 3 which is where he bats more responsibly. If it doesn't work, we've got Ambris waiting in the wings and Shimron could move to 3 if he gets some runs under his belt and Blackwood fails.

A few random thoughts on the FC games so far. There appears to be something of a revolution in our young batsmen, with a number of players batting for a day or so and spending time at the crease. It's almost like Kraigg and Shai's performances have inspired them. Young Dion Webster, Brandon King and Keacy Carty have all scored consistently and batted for a long time.

So far the bowling has been slightly weak with the senior and A team being away. But Jeremiah Louis of the Leewards has been superb. He's only fast medium but he swings it both ways and bowls a lovely length. For Jamaica both Oshane Thomas and Reynard Leveridge haven't taken wickets but have looked pretty good and bowled with express pace.

Outside of that the usual suspects have been dominant with Devon Smith and Denesh Ramdin scoring bucketloads of runs.
