Ranking some more all-rounders as batsmen and bowlers, the ODI edition. 33 names

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Okay so after the success of the last one I've possibly overreached here. This will require a mighty effort from the voters. I wanted to include more batting all-rounders as the last one was full of bowling all-rounders. I got a little carried away. I also wanted to throw in a lot of names people don't typically think of as all-round stars, to hopefully create a few shock results. But I'm sure the status quo should still hold up to an extent. Remember to consider batting SRs and bowling ERs when coming up with your rankings as this is exclusively based on their ODI careers.

There is now 25 names.

It'd be cool if we got at least 30 voters this time.

I wouldn't have Viv or Greg Chappell in there. They both took less than a wicket a game and didn't always bowl and weren't all rounders. But they'll nick all the batting points and finish top 10.

Ganguly, Steve Waugh, Cronje weren't real all rounders either. A list close to 25 will be good.

i think give this a rest. Following so closely on the heels of the test rankings might get reader burnout.

Would be a great thing to have a few weeks from now

If you insist on at least 1 wicket per game, you'd lose Afridi, Jayasuriya, Kallis, Harris, Hooper, Gayle, Symonds, Cairns, Watson, Mathews, Styris, McMillan and Shastri (as well as the 5 players already mentioned). You'd come pretty close to losing Imran (182 wickets in 175 games).

Okay forget that. I still wouldn't put them in as all rounders. Sachin bowled quite a bit and took over 150 wickets.

Waugh certainly was an AR in the early part of his career. Was one of the best ODI bowlers in the world for a few years, and was called the Iceman for his ability in bowling at the death.

From his debut in 86 through to about 96 he usually bowled his quota or at least a significant part of 10 overs. From about 96 on his bowling took a back seat and he just batted.

Definitely a real all-rounder IMO.

Well I certainly don't foresee 30 votes being casted and tallied anytime soon. This is already a long term plan

And I'll cut the list down to 25 now. Nobody begin until I do

Hansie bowled in like 95% of his ODI matches BTW

Yeah I've removed quite a few batsmen including viv ganguly and chappell

I've kept Hansie but if people really want him gone I can boot him. Don't see why he shouldn't get a run though, think he was more than just a part time bowler

your batting list looks interesting. Shakib a better bat than Steve Waugh? And Shuan Pollock better than Imran? And Klusener and Hooper higher than Kallis?
