***Official*** Australia in India ODIs/T20s 2017

Whatever it takes!!!
Anyone mentioned that dustbowls are much more common in Tests than ODIs? If you can't play spin on dustbowls you're more likely to get away with it in ODIs simply because, even if spin-friendly, they're not as bad in that regard as Test wickets on average,

Yeah and that is true for playing swing for batsmen too. But as I pointed out earlier, my point was fully about being forced to be able to score against certain types of bowling that you would struggle to score off normally.

Cartwright playing ahead of Handscomb was already ridiculous.

He's garbage. Almost anyone can open.
Head can open, he did just last season.
Maxwell can open, personally I think that would be an excellent decision.
Even Wade can open, and he's done it before. Wade might be the best choice actually given how he can struggle against spin.
Stoinis was originally an opening batsman too IIRC, but I'd keep him in the middle order for this side

He’s not garbage ffs. The **** can bat. Ffs these people trashing him because he got out cheaply against an indian new ball attack.

Ok, indian new ball attacks always suck, but if people didn’t get out against them early there would be no hype for India supporters to think they have finally produced a decent seamer before they are cast on the scrap heap 18 months later.

OOps... realized Bumrah only made his debut last year. Seems to have been around forever, lol.

Look mate, if you’re pinning your seam bowling hopes on that bloke then good luck. The Cameron White of seamers. Seriously. I mean, come on.

Of course he's good. But he's been picked too early ahead of better players. Also he has mental/confidence issues IMO, maybe just when playing at the highest level. Always looks like he's ****ing himself.

He's actually a batsman?

He may as well be for all the long term success he’ll have.

Of course Cartwright isn’t ready to bat in the top order yet. But Australia doesn’t GAF between WCs. They spend that time working out who will win them the next one, while everyone else blows a load over who wins nothing series in nothing years. It’s the way of things.

Not sure if Mitch Marsh is fit but he's a far better ODI batsman that Cartwright is. And a much better bowler. He'll be more useful in a World Cup in 2 years than Cartwright will.

then why get so defensive when we say he should be dropped
