Hafeez once scored 400+ runs and took 4 wickets against NZ in a 2 match series. If we extrapolate that to 5 he probably had the greatest series by anyone ever lol, unless there are some other 2 test wonders knocking about.

Not read the whole thread but presumably Woakes vs Pakistan in 2016 has been mentioned already: 177 runs at 35.4, 26 wickets at 16.7 in a 4 Test series (Broad and Anderson combined only managed 22 wickets in total.)

Andy Flower in a 2 Test series in India (2000) helped his side a little,
183no & 70 (Delhi)
55 & 232no (Nagpur)
Two catches as WK as well.

Sadly, Zimbabwe’s 2 top wicket takers for that 2 Test series:

Streak 3/183
Murphy 3/321

In fact Zimbabwe took just 11 wickets, compared to Srinath alone (12/275)
