***Official*** Australia in Bangladesh 2017

I doubt many recent touring squads to Asia have more than 4 seamers at all tbh
Eh, given that Cartwright is the fourth and is very much a batting all-rounder...

I'd be taking four specialist quicks -- from the point of view that this really locks Australia into the 2/2 attack make-up; if you pick all three in the first Test because there's a hint of green and Cummins breaks down, all of a sudden you're flying Behrendorff (or whoever) across anyway.

If we were touring NZ or Eng Sayers is my first preference outside the squad but for Bangladesh I am thinking Tremain just ahead of Behrendorff.

Tremain is behind Sayers on any deck IMO.

One of the really unusual situations is that there are zero QLD quicks even on the radar right now.

Remember when they had all of Kasper, Bichel, Dale and Noffke

how the mighty do fall

The depth Qld had in pace in the 90s/00s was remarkable; even someone like Joe Dawes who was never in the reckoning for international honours took 285 FC wickets @ 25.

Unlike in Tests, the Gabba wicket in Shield cricket was quite often very bowler friendly too (unless Qld were hosting a final).

Pretty demoralising when you get knocked over for 150 on a green seamer then Matt Hayden and Jimmy Maher pass your team score before stumps

Billy Stanlake has a CA contract so while I agree with your view its not technically correct as he is definitely on the radar.

Hazelwood breaks down instead.

I keep forgetting he's a Queenslander since I can't recall him having played shield cricket and he doesn't play for the Heat.
