Pretty risky to go with only 3 seamers when 2 are fairly likely to get injured, dale and philander?

He has been struggling both with a lower back issue and elbow issue that has given him problems for the last 3 years or so (The back issues are from when he was forced into wicket keeping, he did not actually want to do, for the Test team back when.) He has been managing the issues for years now. It was clear he was willing to play LO because he wanted to get to the WC 2019, but he felt he needed the break from Tests. It was always on the cards that he would speak with CSA in August and it was expected for him to retire from Test cricket.... happily he seems rejuvenated and now made himself available for Test cricket again, and also recognized that Faf should lead the ODI side rather than himself. So all good news and long may it last....

If he has been managing himself really not sure why he was playing two meaningless T20s but that's by the by. Glad he is still there, think he's still got plenty of test cricket left.
