Was enjoying Bishop so much and now we get Manjrekar and Wilkins. Muted it.
Me too, Bishop was so into the bowling of the two pacers. He was enjoying it.

It's almost as annoying as Athar Ali Khan's 'back-to-back' Mahmudullah centuries in World Cup 2015

One outstanding performance has done the job for India today. They need 2-3 such performances to sniff any chance in the final against England this time.

Oh come on. The bowling of Goswami and Pandey was outstanding too.

Deepti bowls it a bit short, the ball bouncers a bit lower than usual, Blackwell mijudges the ball. Bowled and match!

Started watching from the last overs of the Indian innings. Clutch batting from Blackwell too. All round great batting from both sides. Kaur the difference!

Best innings by an Indian ever in a WC knockout match. Unbelievable hitting.

It was on par with Athapathu's innings in terms of stroke play but the fact that it came in a semi-final makes it even better.

Well done to India. What is clear though is Australia's attack is the weakest it's been in a long time. Little Sri-lanka knocked them out of the park in the group stage, England scored big against them aswell. Their primary strength these days is their top order...that's why they were able to get close despite Lanning and a few others failing. Perry seems to have lost something with her bowling as her batting has improved. Gardner is new to the scene, Schutt was never anything special and Johanson is a so-so spinner. You only have to look back at the T20 final last year when the WI openers put on a 100+ partnership to pretty much take the game away from them. Their attack has not had any teeth since then imo.

Also let me add that it cannot be a coincidence that two of the teams who had to play several qualifer games to enter the tournament (India and South Africa), went on to be impressive and reach the last four. Both teams played more competitive cricket than England, Aus, WI and NZ who all qualified automatically. So they had the chance to keep their players busy and perfect their gameplans. What happens in the final remains to be seen. India did beat England already but that was all down to Mandala who has been very poor recently. I suspect Raj will do her usual thing and score 40+ but she'l need someone to stay there with her. Kaur played a great innings but she's not a consistent performer, so i wouldn't expect to see that again.

IMO it all depends on England's attack. If they turn up then they'll win the game I think as their batting has only been exposed once in this world cup (ironically against the shambles that was the West Indies). So if India bat first they'll have to post a massive score to put pressure on the English like they did last time.

There is a sudden surge of interest here in India for the final. Majority who haven't watched India play prior to Harmanpreet's knock are pumped up for the final. Little do they realize that this is a much stronger unit they will be facing in the final. So if India want to come anywhere close to winning they have to perform like they did against Australia at the very least. Two special performances or a group of good performances are needed to outwit this strong English unit.

Everyone from openers to no.8 (barring Winfield) have scored serious runs for England. They have made it this far due to those crucial 20's and 30's from Brunt and Gunn when needed the most. Not to forget that England's bowling unit is way better than Australia's.

Going to try and watch a couple of hours of this today, likely after lunch. Glad it's sold out . :)
