It's odd to see Ashwin bowl so poorly in recent times. What's the reason behind this? Is it that he is a poor odi bowler or that he has been bowled a lot and hasn't fully recovered after his injury? Think it's the latter as the ball isnt having any rip. Not sure why he keeps getting picked and bowled if he is not in form.
He's trying a few new things in limited overs cricket of late. That is clear from his interviews too. In one interview, he said that 6 well-constructed bad balls might be the best way to go for a finger-spinner in T20. His experiments are not working (not sure about T20 yet, but it is surely not working in ODIs at least). Management should speak to him about bowling his usual aggressive line and length. He'll be a different bowler and true asset to the ODI side when he comes back to his original self.

Jadhav reminds me of Dinesh Mongia and Kanitkar. Batted so late and every one kept saying they were awesome even when they were not.
This is Blocky-levels of posting here

You're clearly hellbent on arguing that Jadhav isn't good more than you care about actually critically watching the cricket and analyzing it

How about the fact that he posted that DK missed a catch when Kohli and Shami literally did the same thing an over ago, which made DK look at Kohli which made him drop that catch? Why do you expect reasonable posts from an obviously biased **** poster, I will never know.

This is crazy. I don't buy it. Such experiments should be done in nets etc any ways. Not to cost the team games.

I mean seriously comparing Jadhav to Mongia and Kanitkar?

Are we expected to continue to ignore him when he posts nonsense like that? At what point does Pratters get infracted for trolling/**** posting? In no way, shape or form is that a legitimate opinion. It's completely derived from his massive ego being completely unwilling to accept that he once posted something outright wrong and was called out on it. He's now digging his heels in and bringing it up whenever he can because he feels justifying that stance he once took with the flimsiest of arguments somehow validates it and lets him get one up over the people who are 'bullying' him on the forum.

Its complete garbage posting. Seriously.

Not every one will have the same opinions.
And not all opinions are equal, and your right to having an opinion isn't the same as immunity to that opinion being called out for being ****

The fact that you're only justification for that opinion is the simple fact that you are entitled to one shows how ****** it is.

Really, really dire posting.

I actually liked the initial foray of both Kanitkar and Dinesh Mongia. Both were doing decently well with both bat and ball when they came to the international scene, but faded away and were persisted inspite of continuous failures.

In that sense, I can understand the point of Pratters. All the 3 of them have come to international cricket on the back of scoring heavily in domestic cricket while contributing a bit with the ball. He is expecting Jadhav too to fade away like that, while we hope that he doesn't.

Jadhav hasn't really proven any thing so far. Was he a huge success in the recently concluded Champions Trophy? Let us see him make quality runs versus good oppositions before going gaga over him. Mongia had people going gaga over him similarly only to fail later. Kanitkar also looked good according to people but he wasn't very good. The problem with specialist batsmen who bat very late is that they don't get to bat in a lot of games and it takes time to see the player isn't that great. I am not convinced about him yet and no need to construe it as any thing other than that. When he convinces me that he is good, I will be happy to say I was wrong. He just doesn't seem that good to me from whatever I have watched of him so far.

yea see that's a lot better.

having seen all 3 men bat though, you're still wrong. Jadhav is miles ahead technically and temperament wise.

*****, having greater tolerance level for **** that annoys you is one of the prerequisites for the internet.
rather just call out ****** posting and get repeat perpetrators banned tbh

Don't see why I have to put up with people stinking up an otherwise fantastic forum that I enjoy

Pratters did not break any rules of the forum, nor did he engage in personal attacks or abuses. Yes from time to time he might say stuff that might be considered dumb by some people but banning him for that is like banning Rabada for using the F word. It's a bit too much.
