This SA ODI side is still a WIP even with our impressive unbeaten run. Will be exciting to see how the all-rounders go this tour.

Some nice time out in the middle for Hash, Faf, Dave.

    Northants going along well enough.

South Africa nearly shocked by a number 9 making his debut.

    England are waiting

Northants made a decent fist of it it seems. Seems like it was a good game.

    QDK
    Amla
    Faf
    Duminy
    ABdV
    Miller
    2 off Morris/Pretorius/Phehlukwayo/Parnell
    Rabada
    Morkel
    Tahir

And looking at that line-up SA have once again got the problem of finishing. All of Faf, Duminy, Miller tend to want at least 2-3 overs before going big. Of the allrounders Morris is the only one who seams to strike from ball one, maybe Phehlukwayo? Parnell and Pretorius need overs.

This leaves us only ABdV as a consistent finisher... thus meaning we leave our best batsmen out of the top 4.....Unless SA trust Duminy, Miller, Morris to finish off the innings.

Pretorius is rank 4 for me at this minute.

    Morris is rank 1.

With Morkel coming back it makes you have to chose between Parnell/Phehluwkayo & I'm not sure at this moment. Would be nice to see them both and who grabs their chance stays but can't afford that now.

Agree 100%... Morris should play. Parnell batting has come a long way but is h a late order hitter? I rate Phehluwkayo better there, but Phehluwkayo is not a wicket taker like Parnell could be?

Maybe play both Parnell and Phehluwkayo for ODI series against Eng, to determine team for Champions?

I know he is quick but George Garton is an eye raiser. Has done nothing at senior level yet.

Pretorius and Phehlukwayo are stock bowlers. Even though they go about their work differently only one should play at a time.

With Morkel, Morris, Rabada, Tahir it probably allows the stock bowler to come in. Parnell does bring left-arm variety though.

I'm sure you right. They will try find answers in the 3 ODI's

You would have though Jamie Overton then. Garton is hardly in the Sussex team isn't he ?

Anyone else should have been picked ? They probably don't see Roland-Jones as an international bowler ? Coad, Helm also other options ? Topley's injury has put him off the radar.

Morris has to be at 7. He has the best all round game for LO cricket out of the 4 potential all rounders.
