QdK doesn't need confidence. His record destroys Buttler's and he's considered a top player. Qdk is like a consistent version of Buttler. It's actually quite frightening how good he actually is. Wish Aus had a keeper half as good as QdK
did buttler **** your girl?

And he has 12 centuries in 70 games. So he scores centuries at an absurd rate but only has a good-very good average which is Furball's point

He was joint fastest to 1000 ODI runs, so he was hardly inconsistent in his first 2 years surely?
He scored some big runs against India, including 3 100's but he was an all or nothing type player, he then went through a bad period and was actually dropped. Since coming back against England in SA he has been far more consistent. hence why he avg 49 for the last 2 years...

This SA ODI side is still a WIP even with our impressive unbeaten run. Will be exciting to see how the all-rounders go this tour.

Some nice time out in the middle for Hash, Faf, Dave.

Northants going along well enough.

QDK
Amla
Faf
Duminy
ABdV
Miller
2 off Morris/Pretorius/Phehlukwayo/Parnell
Rabada
Morkel
Tahir

And looking at that line-up SA have once again got the problem of finishing. All of Faf, Duminy, Miller tend to want at least 2-3 overs before going big. Of the allrounders Morris is the only one who seams to strike from ball one, maybe Phehlukwayo? Parnell and Pretorius need overs.

This leaves us only ABdV as a consistent finisher... thus meaning we leave our best batsmen out of the top 4.....Unless SA trust Duminy, Miller, Morris to finish off the innings.

Pretorius is rank 4 for me at this minute.

Morris is rank 1.

With Morkel coming back it makes you have to chose between Parnell/Phehluwkayo & I'm not sure at this moment. Would be nice to see them both and who grabs their chance stays but can't afford that now.

Agree 100%... Morris should play. Parnell batting has come a long way but is h a late order hitter? I rate Phehluwkayo better there, but Phehluwkayo is not a wicket taker like Parnell could be?

Maybe play both Parnell and Phehluwkayo for ODI series against Eng, to determine team for Champions?
