Reserve batsman like Petersen/Vallie not really big hitters. Go Werner Coetsee for his batting over Phangiso.
Not the strongest bench strength. Janneman Malan could play in the top 3 a bit. Likes to take the bowlers on.

A spinner could easily come in for a seamer.
Got the wrong KP there. Keegan is playing for Bloem, the real KP for NMBS.

*Not the greates pitch at Benoni so having a banker like Elgar at 3 after the two big guns will be a blessing in disguise.
** The 3 experienced SA all-rounders in Wiese, Albie & du Preez
*** Very exciting bench strength with young Saffers. Du Plooy (hand-eye) & Moonsamy (Buttler type), Linde very exciting spinner, Savage to step in for Albie, Wiese, du Preez, Two left-arm strike-bowlers in Riaz, Le Roux

* Think a lot depends on which keeper they go for which will effect balance. If they go Ramdin then Vince misses out from international position.
** Interesting to see Kaber and his chinaman and he bowl with Rashid.
*** Otherwise looks well balanced but doesn't shout out favourites.

* Think they will need all the international batsman. But rotation will bring McClenaghan in. Excited to see M.Pretorius and Dupavillon together at some stage though. Looks a decent team.
** Little Marques Ackerman is a good finisher. Small but packs a punch.

** 3 spinners needed for the Wanderers ?
*** Kruger had a bad injury but can be awesome at the top for them.

* Very competitive squad. Think they could be up there. Got there duel bankers in Smuts/Ackerman at PE with spinners.
** Pace attack not the strongest but generally a slow pitch there and smart bowlers like Birch/Khan/van Schalkwyk with cutters

** Finn & Morkel the two been-poles. Could get messy or could work a treat at Super Spot Park. Nice spin variety and change-ups of Bravo & Frylinck with their hotting down the order. Big.

** 4 spin option for Paarl. Shamsi, Wasim, Mendis and Simmonds as must.
*** Also gone for short squiddy quicks. Eric Simons knows his consitions.

Think he was released twice in England.

Played for SWD last season & did well enough to earn a Titans contract.

Was chatting to a guy on Friday who has played with him. Apparently his cricket brain is amazing.

Is it right that 1 rookie has to start a game ? 23 or under by 1 September & not played for SA ? Minimum of 2 in a squad.

Benoni Zalmi : Du Plooy, Moonsamy, Moreki
CT Knight Riders : Smith, Muthusamy, Galiem
Durban Qalandars : M.Ackerman, B.Fortuin, Subrayen, Dupavillon, M.Pretorius
Joburg Giants : Kruger, Gous, Hamza

I like the rookie ideas, give exposure of potential good player to experienced internationals. I would actually prefer that a rookie played in every game.

Very good idea. This the positive from the tournament. In the old days playing with hardened pro's and current internationals in 1-day & 4-day cricket was but times are changing.
