Worst short-lived selections

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Following on from Bryce McGain, I'll add another rubbish leggie to the equation - Rawl Lewis.

Except he doesn't really fit the criteria - somehow they kept on selecting him: 5 Tests in four different series over 11 years, equally **** each time.
The last one was during the pay dispute during which truly rubbish players of similar vintage were recalled, like Floyd Reifer whose six tests yielded an average of 9.25. Has a worse player ever captained a country? Of course there was no such excuse for his recall in 2006.

Before his last match Lewis had a career average of 388. I don't see how you could do worse than that.

Here's a fun fact. The First Division in the BCA (Ballarat Cricket Association) play for the McIntyre cup, named after Peter McIntyre, who played a couple of Tests for Australia in the '90s. He was never enough to ever threaten Warne's spot in the XI, but had he still been playing in the late 90's he probably would have been selected ahead of such players as Gavin Robertson. It's crazy to think that for a short time in the 90's Australia had some pretty good spin stocks. After Warne, there was Hoggy, MacGill, Mo Matthews, McIntyre, May and Robertson. Not too shabby.
