Easiest months to tour cricketing nations

Shri

Winter has to be the best time to tour India since pitches don't break down as easily and the bowlers don't tire down quickly either. Besided, there is early morning help for some types of bowlers too. How does it go for other countries?

Winter being what months? December to Feb?

It's a bit hard to say in Australia, because there's rarely been a Test played after mid-January for a long time. Logic would say that most of the wickets are more worn by the end of the season, but usually its only ODIs/T20s being played at that time.

November to February when all of India is considered.

Why isn't cricket played in the winter in Australia? To the best of my knowledge, there isn't much rain around.

Pitches can't be prepared in the southern half of the country - Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide and Perth. Only Brisbane is a possibility out of the main grounds, but they can go further north - and they have in the past, playing Tests at Darwin and Cairns. But both don't have populations big enough to really make it successful, and the dominance of the winter sporting codes stopped those Tests from getting much publicity/capturing the public's attention.

Probably the weather has something to do with it, though April/May in England is generally colder than Australian winters AFAIK.

Also, the AFL.

Probably around mid-teens as daytime maximums. On particularly cold days, you get low single digits overnight.

May is a great time for Asian teams to play at Headingley or Chester-le-Street. Shriveled penis syndrome.

NZ is definitely easier for tourists in February/March. The pitches we serve up pre-Christmas can be a bit spicy.

Doubt there is any real easy month to tour SL..it's always the same with spin oriented pitches..just don't tour in the Monsoon, which of course is when the SLC love to schedule home
tours..

Whatever it takes!!!
Do they even do test matches in Feb/March in NZ these days? Thought their season gets over by Jan end?? And what about South Africa? Think Feb/March is the best time to tour there too.

The main tour of every NZ summer is in February/March. It was Australia earlier this year and it'll be South Africa this season.
